On Friday, July 30th, the seventh day of the Tokyo Summer Olympics takes place in Tokyo.

China and Japan are still leaders in the medal standings - they have 16 gold medals each, Ukraine is in 56th place.

  • Greek Stefanos Ntouskos won the singles final at the Tokyo Olympics. He covered the distance in 6 minutes 40.45 seconds.
  • New Zealand's Emma Twigg won gold in the rowing singles final and set a new Olympic record of 7 minutes 13.97 seconds. Russian Anna Prakaten became second - she covered the distance in 7 minutes 17.39 seconds.
  • Canadian women won gold medals in the eights event at the Tokyo Olympics. They covered the distance in 5 minutes 59.13 seconds.
  • New Zealand rowers performed best in the eights event at the Tokyo Olympics. They covered the distance in 5 minutes 24.64 seconds.
  • South Africa's Tatyana Schoonmaker won gold in the 200m breaststroke, setting a new world record of 2:18.95.
  • Russian swimmer Evgeny Rylov won a gold medal in the 200-meter backstroke at the 2020 Olympics. The 24-year-old Russian showed a result of 1:53.27 and set a new Olympic record.
  • Australian swimmer Emma McKeon won the 2020 Olympic gold medal in the 100m freestyle. The 27-year-old athlete clocked 51.96, setting a new Olympic record.
  • Chinese swimmer Wang Shun won the gold medal in the 200m individual medley.
  • Gold medal for the Netherlands: Nick Kimman took first in the BMX race.
  • Russia won the gold medal in shooting: Vitalina Batsarashkina won the pistol shooting from 25 meters. This is her second gold at the Tokyo Olympics.
  • Russian Elena Osipova won silver in archery, while Korean An Sang won gold.
  • Japanese judoka Akira Sone defeated Idalis Ortiz from Cuba in the final of the Olympic tournament in the over 78 kg category.
  • Russian judoka Tamerlan Bashaev won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
  • Russian epee fencers Sergei Bida, Pavel Sukhov, Nikita Glazkov and Sergei Khodos became silver medalists in the team championship at the Olympic Games in Japan.
